This was the main background music for our Main Task video. I remembered a scene from 'Taken 2' where this soundtrack played and me and my team agreed that it was suitable and it fitted the scene very well. 




This is the Gun shot sound affect we used in our video 


This is the opening music for our Main task scene where there is a flash back of two male best friends in black and white. 




we later on asked other people what they thought about the music for this scene and most people said that it was a good song but it did not match the scene and didn't make them think about the scene in the way we wanted them to.

we then decided to change it to this

EVALUATION ACTIVITY 7


For the preliminary task we had to use three specific shots. One of the shots was the shot reverse shot; this shot is used when people are having a conversation, it shows both of the people’s viewpoints, for example facial expressions.

Here is a picture from our preliminary task of us using the shot reverse shot.

Another shot that we had to use was Match on Match Action. This is when the same scene is shot in different angles so that it can have a smooth flow to it throughout. In our preliminary task we used a lot of Match on Action.We also had to use the 180 degree rule in our preliminary task. This is when you keep the camera on one side of the imaginary line and stay on that side or you will end up confusing the audience. The 180 degree rule is best used when people are having a conversation as both of them will be shown in the frame. In our preliminary task we didn't use the 180 degree rule.


From doing my preliminary task I think I have progressed well in terms of my camera work.  I have picked up a lot of knowledge about camera techniques and they have helped me to improve my camera work. By doing the preliminary task I was given more experience on using the camera and a wider knowledge of shots that I can use. In my preliminary task i included a wide range of cinematography to make my video more interesting, for example long shot, close up and medium shot.

these annotations will highlight the ways in which your Film Opening links to other similar films in order to attract the particular Audience you have previously identified. Alternatively you could use still images of your film and embed these as a slide show with notes or as images in a written blog entry.

Your annotations will refer to genre conventions, use of music, similarities with other movies and what you have identified as the Unique Selling Point of your imaginary film.

Who would be the audience for your media product?

You should have a IMAGE of your target audience member and an explanation of what kinds of taste they might have- where they would shop, what music they would listen to, what their favourite TV programme would be, etc.

Make sure you have taken a photo of it, post it on the blog and write a few notes on why they would watch your film.

Make sure that you explain the audience in detail, such as DEMOGRAPHICS, LIFESTYLE SEGMENTATION and RUBICAM and YOUNG's 4C's
